This is a major breakthrough I believe, and hopefully means I will bring the book to a state that it can be sent to publishers. My Miss Lolly is featured in a manuscript I've been writing and rewriting for quite a long time. We would sometimes go down to the beach for the day, and I remember the heat from those seats toasting my sunburned little backside on the drive home, while music blared from the radio. It was the name of my mom's best friend, a larger than life (to me at least) extroverted gal who wore big sunglasses and scarves, loved to laugh, and drove an enormous black convertible Cadillac. However, I may have to give in to the urge to sew a fabric version as well. but oddly enough without the actual sewing part.
